November: what the month means for your health
Daylight 7-9.5 h, none. — the month's produce, bugs and health task in one page.
| November | What is happening |
|---|---|
| Daylight | 7-9.5 h |
| Pollen | None. |
| Bugs and infections | Flu season builds; the first norovirus outbreaks. |
| In season | root vegetables, cabbage, apples, frozen and preserved everything |
| On the table | The preserved shelf opens: ferments, jams, frozen berries — the summer, in jars. |
The health task
The hardest month: the light is nearly gone, the flu season is building, and the winter mood settles in. The routine set in September is what carries November — fixed sleep, indoor training, the midday light dose, vitamin D in hand. Hand hygiene and sleep are the two infection defences that actually work.
The month in one line
November is the month of showing up, not improving: maintaining the sleep, training and food routines through the dark is the whole achievement.
